Take Heart

Since I was a kid, i have always been exposed to the idea that you can always take something simple and make it extraordinary. Special thanks to my high school sewing teacher and my mom (Hi mom! if you're reading this, love you!), I have learned how to  reconstruct any piece of clothing and make it something a bit more special.

In this case, My roomies and I were trying to clean out our closet, looking for stuff to get rid off. But obviously, we'd go through each other's "unwanted" clothes pile and pick out some stuff that we might want to keep for ourselves! And since, during that time, I just a got a sewing machine for my birthday (thanks guys!), I was really eager to try it out.

Found an old simple oversized plaid long sleeved shirt...

And the work begins...

I love Sundays. I love that I get to spend my whole day at church.

But church ended a little bit early this time, last service was moved to 4pm 

instead of the usual 9:45ish PM due to Hurricane Sandy. We have to prepare for this "frankenstorm"

that is headed our way. Im just praying that it doesn't do as much damage as everyone is expecting it to.

Blast from the Past!

Its that time of the year again, time where the dead comes to life, fairytales becomes reality, grown ups become kids and kids become grown ups. Dressing up is always fun. And this is the perfect day that you can go crazy, wear whatever you want become whoever you want or never want to be, and no one will care!

This year, my friends and I went to the 80s vs 90s Halloween Party hosted by The Icla da Silva Foundation. For me, it's a perfect way to celebrate this highly celebrated day, not only do get to have fun and enjoy the night but also we are given this great opportunity to give hope, which what makes it even better.

I was born 1988, so i lived most of my childhood life in the 90's which by the way is sooo awesome...

Awakening

It's been a long time since my last post been so busy with life getting in the way of life itself. But now i am back, and this time I'm here to stay! ;) 

Now lets talk about my outfit, so last night i was trying to think of what to wear since i needed to get up a little bit early. I always have fun figuring out what to wear but sometimes I need a little bit of inspiration, perfect situation because at the same time my best friend was reading a magazine and she was like "You should wear something like this!"
